In a post pandemic world, we’re all becoming accustomed to virtual everything, including remote jobs. But working from home isn’t a new concept, in fact, remote positions and side hustles have been around much longer than you’d think.

Some ways to earn money from home include everything from online reselling, to websites geared towards surveys and cash back tasks.

In addition to Cash Back Apps, here’s a quick list of what’s worked for us.

eBay

You’ve probably heard about and likely shopped on eBay before as it’s one of the longest running online auction/resale websites around.

It is free to create an eBay account, and you get a certain amount of free listings every month. You only pay fees on items that you sell, unless you want to list more than the free listings you’re allotted or want to upgrade your listings to add special features.

Reselling on eBay is as simple as picking items out of your closet, taking some pictures, and creating a ‘listing’ for the item you want to sell online. When an item sells, you choose where and how to ship, and you have the option to allow buyers to pickup the sold item locally.

Signing up to sell or buy on eBay is super easy, and every listing you create is customizable.

Poshmark

Poshmark’s an online reselling shopping platform that’s unique, in that it’s like social media. It’s a great virtual community for both sellers and buyers. There’s some fun perks in addition to the community aspect too.

It doesn’t cost anything to sign up or list an item for sale on Posh, you only pay a small fee if your item sells, – or if you give your buyer a shipping discount or have a package over 5 pounds (we’ll get into this below).

Poshmark offers a flat Priority Mail shipping rate cost for buyers – which is great for both sellers and buyers. Sellers don’t have to pay for shipping unless they want to give the buyer a shipping discount, and Buyers can ‘bundle’ multiple items from one seller up to 5 pounds with only one flat charge.

If a buyer’s bundle goes over 5 pounds, there is an additional shipping charge for the seller, but that can be completely avoided by having buyers limit their purchases to 5 pounds per order.

Additionally, Poshmark hosts both in person and virtual events, and is constantly running promotional giveaways.

Mercari

Similar to the above resale sites, Mercari has evolved into a great option for sellers.

Mercari offers unlimited free listings to sellers, AND, they’ve updated their policy to no longer charge sellers any fees on sold items! There are NO FEES to list items and NO FEES on sold items. You can literally list and sell as many things as you want without fees!! You simply pay a small $2.00 fee to cash out.

There are many ways to ship sold items on Mercari. You get to choose what type of shipping services you want to use, and if you want to pay for shipping, or if you want to have the buyer pay for it.

Plus, Sellers have the option to offer Local Delivery on any listing if preferred. Each listing is customizable with regards to shipping, giving you various options.
