Spooky Season for Pets to Celebrate Halloween at Petco All Month Long!
Halloween isn’t just for humans anymore—our four-legged best friends deserve in on the trick-or-treating fun, too! If you’re looking for a fun, festive outing with your furry companion this October, head over to your local Petco.
Petco is hosting a lineup of Halloween events and daily activities through October 31st, packed with treats, fun costumes, and free samples.
What’s Happening at Petco This October?
🎃 Daily In-Store Trick-or-Treating (October 17–31 | All Day)

No need to wait for Halloween night to get your pup into the spooky spirit! From October 17th through October 31st, you can bring your pet into any participating Petco store all day long to trick-or-treat.
The Highlight: Bring your pup dressed in their favourite costume (or pick out a brand-new outfit right in the store) and grab a free treat at checkout or customer service!
🥣 Special In-Store Tastings & Samples
In addition to daily trick-or-treating, select Petco locations are holding weekend food tastings so your dog can try out new flavors:
• Finley’s Dog Food Tasting: Sunday, October 18th (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM) — Swing by select stores for a free Finley’s sample and discover new ways to spice up your pet’s mealtime routines!
Upcoming Tastings: Keep an eye out for additional brand tastings (like Hill’s and Champion) hosted during afternoon weekend hours through the end of the month.
📸 Petcoween Photo Ops & Costume Fun
Whether you have a dog that loves showing off in a superhero cape, a cat in a bat suit, or a reptile rocking a tiny hat, Petco stores are welcoming costumed pets with open arms. Don’t forget to capture a photo of your pet at their festive in-store displays!
Quick Tips Before You Go:
• Check Local Event Times: While trick-or-treating runs all day, special tasting events and contest times can vary by store. Check the Petco Store Events Page to confirm details for your neighborhood location.
• Keep Pets Comfortable & Safe: Ensure your pet’s costume allows them to move, breathe, and see comfortably. Always keep dogs on a secure leash when visiting.
