Stress Awareness Month – and Cozymaxxing….

Who knew April was Stress Awareness Month? I didn’t. But boy, the focus couldn’t have come at a better time for me, personally.

What about Cozymaxxing? This is a trend I can get behind.  Also known as cozy maximalism, apparently it’s self-care via interior design, that’s all about making your surroundings and environment comfortable and relaxing.

So in honor of Stress Awareness Month, I put together some fun things to promote self care  and getting your cozy max on!

We’re going to start off with lighting, because it is so important for mood and balance. I actually have these Smart Life Light Bulbs throughout my home and they are amazing!!

They’re color changing and you can literally change the lighting for each bulb from your phone. And we’re not just talking about cool and warm lighting, they have color changing properties which is loads of fun.

What’s even sweeter is that right now the 4 count pack is over half off on Amazon!! You can score these HERE

Now that we’ve set the mood with lighting we’ll move along to aromatherapy with this highly rated T&H Eucalyptus Spearmint 3-wick Soy Scented Candle

The brand actually has tons of different scents, so if eucalyptus and spearmint aren’t your jam, feel free to pick out another one.

Time to get cozy with this 15 Lb Weighted Sherpa Blanket which is currently on sale AND has an $8 off coupon right now but I’m not sure how long the stacking deal will last.

It is definitely a great way to snuggle up after you lit your scented candle!

What better way to enjoy your cozy space than curling up with a good book?? And we found one that is perfect for this trend.

The book is called Don’t Believe Everything You Think by Joseph Nguyen and Amazon has it available in Hardcover, Paperback, Kindle and Audiobook versions!!

Once you’re relaxed, you can take the time to work out your thoughts with this really cool Stress Management Workbook by Ruth C. White, PhD.

The workbook is available in a paperback edition, as well as Kindle.

Hopefully some of these items help you embrace a self soothing sense of coziness and comfort, – or at least give you ideas on how to maximize the cozy feeling a lot of us really need when we’re stressed.
